My story

Six chapters.
One woman.

None of it went the way I planned. Every chapter added a part of me I did not know I needed. Here is the journey so far, from Lagos to Edmonton.

01 Nigeria

The triangle student

Home, school, home. I grew up in Nigeria always reading, always studying, always preparing for the next exam. Those habits built my discipline, and they followed me into adulthood. I graduated, but school never graduated from me.

02 The plan changed

The day I saw my JAMB result

I wanted to study Medicine. I checked my result on my phone at home, scored 219, and my heart sank. I told myself I would rewrite the next year. Biochemistry was my second choice, but Lagos State University admitted me to Chemistry instead. That day I made a promise to God: wherever I land, I will do my best.

03 First job

The ₦6,000 confession

I kept that promise and finished my Masters in Environmental Chemistry with distinction. Then came the job hunt. While living in Egan, Ijegun, I travelled all the way to Gbagada to tutor one student for ₦6,000 a month. She passed her SSCE, and I learned that fulfilment does not always come with a big pay cheque.

04 Supply chain

From the lab to the warehouse

A chemist in logistics? Yes. I spent about five years at Heineken managing warehouse and logistics operations, where every delay, every stock count and every number mattered. It taught me to lead people, solve problems under pressure and see how systems really work.

Starting over

In 2024 I moved to Canada and started again from the beginning. New country, new systems, same promise. Today I work in the public sector as a Method Analyst, improving how work gets done. Along the way I earned my PMP and CLTD certifications, became a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants, and earned my CPMC.

06 Now

Becoming

I had a phone and a tripod long before I pressed record. Now I am learning to show up on camera and tell these stories out loud. MultiAdedoyin is for the stories, DoyenbyDoyin is for money and legacy, and The Living Word Room is for the word. Through DoyenbyDoyin, I help people understand money, protect what they build and plan a legacy. The story is not finished. There is always more to you, and to me.
